Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a new anti-terror law : one with very, very sharp teeth !!
Family members of a person found to be a terrorist can now be assessed monetary damages for the harm done by their errant relative. Their property may be seized and disposed of for the benefit of the State and (one hopes) the victims.
If you decide to hang out with terrorists, go to their training camps, etc., it is considered prima facie evidence of terrorism , and you could be looking at 10 years or more in prison.
(I doubt the new laws will discourage potential terrorists to any degree. They are-after all-not exactly law-abiding ; but I suppose it will erode any family ties they might exploit !)
